Project 366 ♥

Im planning to have a '365 Project: A Photo A Day' next year 2012. If you don't know what is that, then how long are you in mars? hehe  (yea right, corny) well, it is basically having a photo a day, most of it are random or something special you had in that day. I think it doesn't have this concrete point in why have this kind of year-long-random-project, i think this project aims to have this sort of visual diary.

So why am i doing this? Well, i have been planning this since two years ago but what stops me is my fking pride. Because two years ago, a lot of my friends in fb were doing it and i have this tendency that i don't want people to compare my work to others and tell me that i was copying their ideas(to have a 365 project). See how awful i am? tsk, well anyway, i have made up my mind, I DONT GIVE A DAMN. haha. im really trying to reduce my cussin' pride because it's awful living with this kind of perspective in life. it really sucks.

If you're wondering why 366 instead of 365, well, eventually, i heard that next year 2012 ,we will have a leap year, so that's why it's 366 duh. one day extension.

New Template ♥

Well, as you can see, my blog has changed. from the gloomy black & white to kiddie white (kiddie because of the font used, im really glad that blogger has decided to add new fonts because their 'old' fonts are getting boring and of course 'old' hahah corny)

I was inspired by Julia Wang's blog http://seabug.blogspot.com/. I mean, i really liked how straight-forward her blog is. very neat and sophisticated plus her awesome photography! and now, because of her and my other 'idol' who uses 50mm lens, gives me this hunger for that lens (because i have this theory that it will give me better results than using my kit lens or a zoom lens) but the problem is, the cheapest 50mm lens doesn't have this auto-focus thingy for D3100, so i must purchase the new and more expensive 50mm lens.

and now, while i save for my '50mm lens' here are the screen shots of my boring blog just in case  you missed my old boring template XD

yay! we received a package from my sister in Singapore. A bag full of SWEE-E-ETSS! i have been waiting for this for i dunno, maybe two months? though the chocolates were unexpected but oh well, finally, it arrived! i was really excited upon hearing that my sister bought a nail art magazine just for me!! WEEEH! Finally, i will have a concrete inspiration for nail art! wooot!

A Farewell Shoot ♥

I am bidding a temporary goodbye to my beloved Digicam -- Sony W35. This camera was my pal for (i don't know) how many years now. I took unforgettable moments with this camera, i know it's kinda weird to blog this kind of thing but I am really happy that something really survived from my harsh hands. With this camera, I learned a lot of things. I learned how to challenge myself to become a better artist without the fancy DSLR to help me. It taught me that the camera is just part of the accessories (but I know that the camera is an essential element in this field of art but what I meant is the fancy cameras, i hope you got my point, haha) and what matters the most is your photograph or your art. All those years with this camera, I know I have proved to people that you don't need to have those fancy cameras right ahead just to have beautiful pictures. Beautiful pictures are captured by the person behind the lens, not the camera itself, camera is just an element.

On the other hand, If you're wondering why am I bidding goodbye to my beloved camera, well, he will be on longer hiatus now because I got my new DSLR!! WOOOH! I have waited and prayed to the Lord God for how many years with faith and patience then finally, YES! and thanks to my rich brotha! HAHA. It's a D3100 and his name is Dmitrij (Pronounced as: Dimitri). I know it's not that bad for a first DSLR. It's been almost three weeks in my hands now and guess what? I already took more than three thousand photos with it, not just random photos but I had photoshoots right away, I took videos during my vacation with my friends and I covered a school event for my beautiful niece and etc.

And without further a do, my temporary farewell shoot with my everlasting Digicam -- Sony W35.

Ok, just as I have promised, here's some of my Film shots and they're not edited! :) Everything is natural (including the flaws bwahaha).

This my favorite shot. The light in his face is just perfect. ♥

here's a child with his cute doggie from the Dog Show we watched in GenSan. The leak is natural, i think that's the complication or whatsoever from the old Film camera.

This Dalmatian dog is a GIANT! haha and a bit scary (because im not used getting so close with big dogs)

During break time,

this was perfectly focused but i dont know what happened. i think because of the vibration of the shutter. what do you think?

This is the Cagayan Recon Airsoft Brigade (CRAB), im their official photographer (weh?). In this series of photos, we were in a national competition in GenSan.
